Mr. Altenburg has been registered with the CFTC and NFA since May of 1993. His 15 years of commodities experience include: market analysis, risk management, asset allocation, system development and compliance. He is responsible for the overall management of the organization, including day-to-day activities, as well as client services and compliance matters. Mr. Altenburg has an impressive background in the financial services industry, including co-founding Summit Financial Services, Inc (Summit). Summit, DBA Opportunities In Options (OIO), has become Option Investments Inc, DBA OpVest and is a leading retail commodities firm and is registered with the NFA and CFTC as an Introducing Broker and CTA. Prior to starting OpVest, Mr. Altenburg operated a branch office of an Introducing Brokerage firm known as OIO Inc., was manager for Tradeline Brokerage Services LLC, and has worked with Barron Worldwide, Amerivest Financial Services, and hundreds of his own private clients. Additionally, he co-founded Tempest Asset Management (Tempest), a Foreign Currency Fund,. Mr. Altenburg received his BS in Economics, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1992.
Andre Julian

Mr. Julian has been registered with CFTC and NFA since September of 1996. His 12 years of commodity experience include: fundamental and technical analysis of the commodities markets, risk management, asset allocation, compliance and sales training. He oversees administration, compliance and finance, and acts as the liaison between the marketing staff, research and trade departments. Since entering the commodities industry, Mr. Julian has proven himself to be a highly motivated and successful businessman. He became one of the top brokers at one of the nations leading commodities brokerage firms, Mainstreet Trading Company, prior to making the move to become a co-manager and co-owner of OpVest. Since joining OpVest he has helped build the company into an industry leader. Mr. Julian was also co-founder of Tempest. Mr. Julian received his BA in Psychology from the University of California at Irvine in 1991, and his MA in Social Ecology from the University of California at Irvine in 1994.
Stephen
Salman (Director of Trading)

Mr. Salman has been registered with the CFTC and the NFA
since June of 1996. He has 12 years of
commodities experience that includes: fundamental and
technical analysis system development, asset allocation,
position and risk management, and trade execution. He is
responsible for managing Avalon’s proprietary trading
programs, including risk, money, and position management.
Mr. Salman focuses on research and development of trading
models, as well as the order execution and allocation. Mr.
Salman has consistently demonstrated a strong aptitude for
trading and money management. These skills along with
countless hours of research and system testing have
propelled him to head of trading for OpVest and laid the
groundwork for Avalon. He was also an integral part of the
setup and operations of Tempest. Mr. Salman attended
California State University – Long Beach as a Business
Administration major and received his undergraduate degree
from Orange Coast College in 1983.
